Cereal Eating Invention
Someday those of you in college will learn that cereal does not magically pour forth from the Earth. This will be a sad day for you, but you will learn to appreciate it all the more. Also I don't have a patent on this yet so no one zuckerberg it or anything.

Chai'chi or Tai'Tea
I have a hard time keeping the two separate in my mind. This is just a black and white drawing scan, I think I will touch it up and put a better version online later.

Artificial Intelligence
How we will know when they are actually thinking:
PS: I didn't actually bother to look up The Thinker's real pose, so if this isn't exactly it don't sue me.

Discarded Title Ideas
Here's two halves of a new title I was thinking about putting up, but I don't think they are quite right. They were done in honor of Andrew Lipkin. May he rest in peace.
Redub
I took a little time today to sharpen up and color that last drawing, because I liked it. You can see how it comes out of a couple of the other drawings. I've also decided I have to do something much better for the title picture. Any suggestions?
Businesstaur
Every centaur we ever seem to see is always a wild child barechested man, I'm not sure that would be allowed in the office. Although sufficient bathroom facilities might also be an issue. Oh and desks.

Moon
Saw this on the run today, decided to do a quick drawing, I think I've got something cooked up good for tomorrow, and I should have time to draw it as well. Get excited.

Package
The package all young arachnofanatics anxiously await. (Yes, it's a word I made up, feel free to use it.

Centopus? Octomerman?
You can vote on what to call this. I'm not quite sure yet. Had one of my most tiring runs in a long time today, and it was only a five mile double, I guess thats what happens when you stand around cashiering all day. But I live to fight another day, as does mermantopous here.

Body Sketch
Here's one more for the night, found this a couple pages later. I think in the future I might start pairing old sketches with new ones, but for now I want to keep throwing some content out there for our avid viewers. I saw we got a view from Germany the other day, just wanted to say that everyone is welcome here, thanks for stopping by, bring some friends next time. Oh, and congrats on being the first international. As far as the drawing, I think the feet are kind of cool, but something is a bit off in the shoulders, at least.
Kendall Square
Here's a quick one, this is a sketch I had in my notebook I did of Kendall Square in Cambridge. Anyone familiar with the are can probably quickly point out its short comings. Sorry nothing new original today, I cashiered for 8.5 hours then took a test, not a lot of time for drawing. Should find some tomorrow.

Skull and Cigar
Clearly, the cigar could be better done. Next time. For some reason I find this one funny, I'm still getting the skull down, he just seems so happy. In other news, I got a road bike yesterday. On a related note, I now know how I will probably die. I'm going to be pretty busy the next 3 or 4 days but I will try and still get some drawings up.

Fine Dining
You'll probably notice eventually that I usually stay away from drawing people. Its pretty much because I'm not good at it. I didn't include a face here, partly because of stylistic reasons and partly because I just didn't want to risk messing it up. Also his arms have a little bit of a c3po thing going on, and his wrist has some pretty impressive flexibility. I do like drawings suits though. They have sharp lines that are easy to draw and, come on, suits always look good.
On a more (but not much more) technical note, I tried scanning this one as a black and white bitmap, I think I will avoid this in the future, it made the lines a bit thicker than they really should be, and they were a bit thick to begin with.

Untitled
This is one I have been working on for a while, for some reason the shape appeals to me. I think its the way it comes out of the flatness. This is probably a candidate to become something larger at some point, but we will have to wait and see. Also, you can probably tell I'm still getting the scanner worked out, we're learning to deal with our differences.
Buildings

This is one I want to try a couple of different ways. In particular I think that the shading could be done differently. I also had considered filling the entire area with buildings, but I ended up deciding to leave some sky. This also has a very special feature included, just for you guys. Yes, its in color. Previous tenant was nice enough to leave behind some colored pencils. Welcome to town indeed.
Day 1:
The plan for this blog is that I'm going to fill it with some of the little drawings I tend to do everyday when I'm bored (typically when I should be doing something else). Sometimes I like what comes out, though quite often its garbage, hopefully as things go along we can see some sort of progression. We'll see how things turn out. Anyway, I hope we both end up enjoying this!
